CONTENT:

PARTICIPANTS:

The course is designed for state/local level instructors,key civil defence personnel, police, para-military forces, JCO’s of NCC, Home Guards, members of voluntary organisations or NGO’s and Teachers from School and Colleges.

AGE: Preferably below 45 years of age.  

DURATION: 6 1/2Weeks.

CONTENT:

Type & causes of various disasters.
Search & Rescue.
Management of disaster services.
Concept of Emergency Control Centers.
Control & Co-ordination of operations.

PARTICIPANTS:

The course is designed for personnel of civil defence, state emergency relief services, industries, voluntary organisation (NGO’s) and para military forces.

AGE: Preferably below 45 years. of age.

DURATION: 6 Weeks.

To train officers and personnel in handling and organising of communication systems for Civil Defence and disaster services.

CONTENT:

Civil Defence Communication planning.
Organising of Control/Sub0control Centers.
Operation and care of Line & Radio equipment.
Principles of Report making.

PARTICIPANTS:

This 24 day programme is designed for Civil Defence / Home Guard officers, Fire Service Officers and members of Public / Private sector undertakings responsible for communication planning during disaster.

AGE: No age limit.

DURATION: 5 Weeks.

CONTENT:

Science of Earthquakes.
Techniques of Search & Rescue.
Organising of Relief & Rehabilitation.
Principles of Disaster Management.
Concept of Disaster Intervention & Response.

PARTICIPANTS:

The course is designed for personnel of Civil Defence Officers of the State/UT’s, Home Guard commanders, paramilitary forces, members of voluntary social welfare organisation (NGO’s) and Relief / re-habilitation staff at State / District level.

AGE: Preferably below 45 years.

DURATION: 4 Weeks.                                     

CONTENT:

Principles of search and rescue.
Control of incidents.
Debris tunneling and other rescue techniques.
Improvised rescue devices.

PARTICIPANTS:

This course is designed for officers/personnel from Civil Defence, Home Guards, Paramilitary Forces, Armed Forces and Industries. Preference will be given to those who have successfully completed the Instructors / Disaster Relief Course at NCDC.

AGE: Preferably below 45 years.

DURATION: 3 Weeks.

To train officers and personnel in the science of Fire fighting and handling of various fire fighting equipment’s in order to make them effective members of Auxiliary fire services.

CONTENT:

Principles of combustion.
Concept of Fire Prevention.  
Techniques of Fire Fighting.
Use and care of various Fire Fighting equipment.
Basic First Aid.

PARTICIPANTS:

This course is designed for CD/Home Guard personnel, paramilitary organisations, newly recruited firemen from Fire Services and industries and officers/personnel of the Armed Forces.

AGE: Preferably below 45 years.

DURATION: 6 Weeks.

To train officers and personnel so as provide an insight into the nuclear, biological and chemical aspects of a war with special emphasis on protective and precautionary measures.

CONTENT:

Nuclear science and weapons.
Handling of Radiation Monitoring Instruments.
Biological aspects of radiation.
Methods of Chemical Warfare.
Shelters and principles of protection.
Web defence planning.

PARTICIPANTS:

This 10 day programme is especially designed for Civil Defence Officers and members of para-military forces who are responsible for planning and preparing against the Nuclear, Biological and Chemical threat & Disasters. Since technical information will be disseminated the participants should have elementary knowledge of science. Though not essential some orientation in civil defence will be advantageous.

AGE : No age limit.

DURATION: 2 Weeks

To train officers of other organisations so as to orient thier knowledge on the basic organisation of Civil Defence and its operations.

• Principles of CD Operations.
• CD Legislation, Regulations and Rules.
• Disaster Management and role of CD Volunteers.

PARTICIPANTS:

This 5 day programme is designed to impart civil defence orientation to officers of organisations having a major role to play in the field of organising, control and coordination of Civil Defence measures.

AGE : No age limit.

DURATION: 1 Week.

To train officers and personnel in methods of detection, protection and safety precautions against an unexploded bomb.

CONTENT:

Types of explosives and effects.
Principles of protection & safety measures.
Protective constructions against UXB's.
IED's and other identification.

PARTICIPANTS:

This course is meant for Civil Defence personnel, Home Guards, Paramilitary forces, officers from Industries and vital installations.

AGE: No age limit.

DURATION: 12 days.

To update the knowledge of Civil Defence Wardens with respect to control of C.D. Operations at Local levels.

CONTENT :

Principles and organisation of Civil Defence.
Warden Service and its equipments.
Documents and records of Warden post.
Control of incident and Basic Fire Fighting.

PARTICIPANTS :

This course is especially designed for Civil Defence Wardens selected to organise and coordinate the civil defence measures in their area of responsibility and CD instructors at State / Local levels.

AGE : No age limit.

DURATION : 2 weeks.

To train officers and executives so as to orient their knowledge into the basic functioning of civil defence and formulate suitable plans.

CONTENT :

Principles of Civil Defence Organiosation.
CD legislation.
CD Planning for a town.
Disaster Management and planning.

PARTICIPANTS :

This training programme has been designed for officers of the Civil Defence/Home Guards, SDO/Revenue Executives of the State, Executive Officers from Municipal Corporation / Contonments concerned with planning and coordination of CD measures. Regular officers' of the Armed forces functioning under Directorate of NCC are also edigible.

AGE : No age limit.

DURATION : 2 weeks.

To train officers and executives so as to Orient their knowledge on the basic functioning of Civil Defence and formulate suitable plans for their industrial units against disasters and war emergencies.

Principles of Civil Defence Organisation.
Concept of Industrial Civil Defence.
Industrial Civil Defence Planning.
CD legislation.
Control of Industrial Disasters.

PARTICIPANTS :

This programme is specially designed for industrial executives at the middle management level, responsible for planning civil defence measures/disaster control in their concerns. Civil Defence officers coordinating the Civil Defence preparations in industries are also eligible.

DURATION : 2 weeks.

To train Sr. Executives of Government and Industries so as to orient their knowledge on the basic functioning of Civil Defence and formulate suitable plans.

Principles of CD Organisation.
Concepts of CD Planning.
CD Legislation, Regulations and Rules.
Disaster Management and role of CD Volunteers.

PARTICIPANTS :

This 5 day programme is designed to impart civil defence orientation to the IAS/IPS/State Administrative cadre officers such as Dy. Collectors in the field of planning, organising, control and coordination of Civil Defence measures.

DURATION : 1 Week.

Organisation of Medical and Health Services.
Types of injuries.
First Aid treatment and bandaging.
Triage.
Transportation of casualties.

PARTICIPANTS :

This 10 day programme is designed for Civil defence officers, para military forces, Home Guards and Health safety workers of the industries both in the public and private sector. Health safety and first aid volunteers working for NGO's can also apply through their respective organisations.

DURATION : 2 Weeks.

To train officers of categorized Civil Defence Towns to plan against conventional warfare threat and related disasters.

CONTENT :

• Principles of CD organisations.
• Principles of CD planning
• CD legislations, Regulations & Rules.

PARTICIPANTS :

This course has been designed for officers of the rank of Controllers and Dy. Controllers who are responsible for planning CD measures in Cat.I, Cat.II & Cat.IV Civil Defence towns.-IA Civil Defence Towns.

AGE : No age limit.

DURATION : 1 Week.

To introduce new developments on Civil Defence and Disaster Management Organisation and Planning and refresh the knowledge of civil defence officers.

CONTENT :

• Principles of CD Planning
• CD rules and regulations
• CD Planning for NBC threat.
• Disaster Management and Role of Civil Defence.

PARTICIPANTS :

This programme is exclusively meant for Civil Defence Officers who have undergone a Civil Defence Management course at NCDC Nagpur and compled three years of service after the course.

AGE : No age limit.

DURATION : 1 Week.

To train officers/industrial executives and personnel in response actions to be organised during and after a chemical disaster.

CONTENT :

Identification of hazardous chemicals.
Safety in handling and transportation of chemicals.
Medical emergencies & First Aid.
Use of protective gear.
Decontamination procedures.

PARTICIPANTS :

This programme is suitable for Civil Defence & Home Guard Officers, Volunteers Officers from NGO's, Industrial Security Force personnel, Fire officers, Disaster Managers and Supervisory staff from industries.

DURATION : 2 Weeks.

To refresh the knowledge of Civil Defence Trainers and introduce to them the latest developments in Civil Defence Operations and Equipments.

• Role of CD Volunteers in Disasters.

PARTICIPANTS :

This course is exclusively designed fo Civil Defence Trainers who have undergone a Civil Defence Instructor Course at NCDC Nagpur and Completed three years of service after the course.

DURATION: 2 Weeks

To train medical officers in order to prepare them for providing assistance to local Emergency Responders dealing with incidents involving Nuclear, Biological and Blast events.

• Principles of Medical operations against WMD
• Hospital Management of NBC Casualties
• PPE and Decontamination
• Trends in terrorism and Medical intervention for Mass Casualty Situations.

PARTICIPANTS:

This training programme is desinged for Casualty Medical Officers of Government Hospitals/Dispensaries / Departments and NGO's working in this field.

DURATION: 2 Week

To train Trainers of various Center/ State Institutes imparting Civil Defence & Disaster Management Skills order to build capacities for dealing with all hazards.
